There were delays in both directions on the motorway this morning (August 12), along with the M62 and M61.The road was partially blocked following a crash on the anticlockwise carriageway between junctions 18 at Simister Island and 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield. Traffic was tailing back past junction 19 of the M62 westbound at Heywood, on the M60 anticlockwise near Heaton Park, and on the M61 southbound approaching the ring road.There were also delays on the M60 clockwise approaching the crash scene on the other side of the motorway.
