M60 hit by rush hour delays following crash involving four vehicles

Traffic was stopped on the clockwise carriageway this morning (July 27).It followed a collision between junctions 16 at Pendlebury and 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield. Traffic is tailing back to junction 13 at Worsley, while the M61 southbound is also affected.Two lanes of traffic were initially closed, before all vehicles were held on the clockwise carriageway. Vehicles are now moving again, but delays remain in the area.Two fire engines attended the scene. Police were also in attendance.
