LPG price rises by Tk 70 to Tk 1,598 for 12kg cylinder in August

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the retail price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk 70 to Tk 1,598 for August, up from Tk 1,528 in July.The revised price for privately marketed LPG will come into effect from 6:00pm today and will remain valid until further notice.The latest adjustment marks a 4.6 percent increase from the previous month, following a sharp Tk 357 reduction in July.BERC said the price was revised under its monthly pricing mechanism after taking into account changes in international LPG prices, shipping costs, exchange rates and other import-related expenses.The regulator has also revised the prices of LPG cylinders of other sizes.
