Liverpool pub 'at heart of area' reopens with plans to return to 'former glory'

Ron McCarthey runs a number of community pubs in the region, alongside his friends Chris, Ben and Callum. Among them, their venues include the Horse and Jockey in Melling, The Royal Oak in Crosby, Heather Brow in Birkenhead and The Shady Oak in Stockport.Now, they've taken on The Clock on the corner of Walton Road and Bradewell Street in Walton. The pub, which is owned by pub group Admiral, reopened its doors on Friday, July 31.Ron told the ECHO: "The community wanted the pub reopening.
