Liverpool actor stars in new film based on city

A Liverpool-born actor and BAFTA nominee has starred in a brand-new film, which premiered in the city tonight. Movie fans gathered at the Hope Street Hotel on Tuesday, July 14 to see the first screening of Before You Go, which is set in Liverpool. The film, in collaboration with award-winning men's mental health charity based in Bootle Sean's Place, by Matt Kennard incudes themes of mental health and suicide; it stars Sonny Walker and is produced by Laura Aikman, who plays Rachel Duffy in BBC's This City Is Ours. Tonight's screening was followed by a Q&A with the stars as well as Debbie Rogers who founded Sean's Place in memory of her brother Sean.
