Dale Kahre Henderson July 10, 2026 - 9:01 pm I do not understand why law enforcement agencies in the Las Vegas Valley do not vigorously enforce the bans on illegal fireworks. The valley fire departments responded to hundreds calls over the Fourth of July weekend. A roof fire on a sports facility resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. You would need to be blind and deaf to not spot violations. If they were serious, law enforcement agencies would advertise on TV their intention to arrest all violators. (A complimentary night in jail and a $1000 fine would be appropriate.) If we are not serious about the bans, repeal the laws and hire more firemen. We live in a beautiful desert, not a lush green valley.
