But the Trump Department of Justice won’t let it die. The idea that the so-called seashells set out in a fashion that was supposed to depict “86 47” is an ominous threat to President Donald Trump is laughable. Mr. Comey, the former FBI director, is no paragon of virtue — by any means — posted a picture of the arranged seashells on the beach and said he did not do the deed. He said he was walking on the beach, saw the shells and posted a picture of them on social media, calling them a “cool shell formation.” Does it matter if Mr. Comey laid the shells out or someone else?
