LETTER: Another debate about daylight savings time

Re: Your Monday front-page article on daylight saving time: Once again, we must engage in this tiresome debate and hand-wringing about adjusting our clocks. Never mind that we Nevadans travel all over this country and the world adjusting ourselves to seeing the sun rise and set at a different time, soldiering on nevertheless. “Those who cannot remember their past are condemned to repeat it,” wrote Spanish-American philosopher George Santayana. Surely, Nevada Sens. Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez-Masto remember our history. President Richard Nixon put the country on year-round daylight saving time in 1974. (I lived through it.)
