Large-scale search underway for man missing from a ferry in the Irish Sea

LAST UPDATE | 4 mins ago A LARGE-SCALE SEARCH is underway for a missing man from a ferry in the Irish Sea. The man is believed to have gone overboard during an overnight crossing between Dublin and Holyhead. The Irish Coast Guard was alerted by the UK’s HM Coastguard, which is coordinating the search, at 9.40am. A broadcast was made, and nearby vessels assisted in the early search for the man. The Irish Coast Guard is assisting the HM Coastguard in the operation. There is a large Irish and British marine rescue presence spanning the ferry route. North Wales Police and gardaí have been informed, HM Coastguard confirmed. A spokesperson from the Department of Transport said the Irish Coast Guard has tasked Howth and Dún Laoghaire RNLI all-weather lifeboats, along with Coast Guard Rescue Helic
