Sign-and-trade deals around the NBA are not easy, something the Los Angeles Lakers found out the hard way this offseason. The Lakers, who completed a sign-and-trade deal for Walker Kessler, had to give a whole lot for a player they wanted. It's the unfortunate reality of sign-and-trade deals, but that's just the name of the game at this point. There are going to be sign-and-trades over the next few months and years that aren't nearly as much as what the Lakers had to give up for Kessler, but they'll be for worse players.
