Kudumbashree records ₹2.78 crore Onam turnover in Keralam’s Kollam

Kudumbashree has reported strong revenue growth during Onam season, recording a total turnover of ₹2.78 crore through its ‘Onam with Kudumbashree’ initiative in Kollam district. The revenue was generated through 146 Onam trade fairs organized across various Community Development Societies (CDS) and at the district level. This marks an increase of ₹8.49 lakh in sales compared to the previous year. A total of 4,598 Kudumbashree entrepreneurship units and 2,953 Joint Liability Group (JLG) farming units actively participated in the Onam markets.The trade fairs offered a wide array of goods, including traditional snacks, food products, pickles, curry powders, flour, millet items, bakery goods, handloom products, clothing, coconut oil, honey, soaps, and toiletries.
