Kejelcha regains half marathon world record in Buenos Aires

The Ethiopian shaved 29 seconds off the previous mark of 57:20 set by Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo in Lisbon in March, taking back a record he had lost after Kiplimo improved on his 57:30 time from Valencia in October 2024.Kiplimo had also run 56:42 in Barcelona last year, but his performance was not eligible for the record as race conditions did not comply with World Athletics
