Karnataka to assist Jharkhand in eco-tourism, knowledge sharing and project guidance in tourism sector
Karnataka is set to extend its expertise in eco-tourism and sustainable tourism to Jharkhand, with both States moving towards a formal agreement for knowledge-sharing and project guidance, Energy and Tourism Minister K.J. George said.The announcement came on the occassion of meeting with Jharkhand Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar with the Karnataka Tourism Department officials.Mr. George said: “In Karnataka, we are working to ensure that tourism growth goes hand in hand with environmental conservation, local employment, and sustainable economic development. It is great to see how other states are coming forward to study our experience and looking to adopt suitable elements of our model.
