K-pop giants BTS boycott 2027 Grammys after introduction of controversial new Asian pop prize

BTS, the best-selling musical act in South Korean history, will sit out the Grammy Awards next year. Their announcement is linked to a new Grammy category which fans have criticised as being an example of non-English language acts being "gatekept out of the main/general categories".
