Another iteration of the legendary CBS franchise NCIS is officially in the works. NCIS has been apart of the CBS family since 2003, and this fall it will debut its 24th season. Along the way there have been multiple spin-off series such as NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, and NCIS: Hawai’i. There is also NCIS: Sydney and NCIS: Orgins, which are set to also return this fall, and now NCIS: New York is heading our way. NCIS: New York is a direct spin-off of NCIS: Los Angeles, and will follow NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) as he returns to his hometown of New York City. He is joined by Scott Caan, known for his role as Danny Williams in CBS’s Hawaii Five-0, though Caan will be playing NCIS Special Agent Nick Schaeffer in the new series.
