Italy anticyclone rising again, with highs up to 8°C above average

Italy's vicious anti-cyclone is rising again and is set to usher in the Belpaese's sixth summer heatwave with temperature highs up to eight degrees Celsius above seasonal averages, a top forecaster said Wednesday. The sixth heat wave is on the way, from Friday, September 4th to Wednesday, September 9th, but temperatures will remain at "only" 37-38°C, according to Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist and media director for iLMeteo.it, who believes that the only thing that will save us from total thermal collapse is the calendar.
