'It used to be a safe place': Fear and worry on main Manchester street after stabbing near train station

Police have arrested a man and woman after the attack12:43, 13 Aug 2026Road cordoned off in Burnage Residents in south Manchester have expressed their shock and fear after a man was stabbed in his car in the early hours of this morning (August 13).‌A stretch of Fog Lane was cordoned off with crime scene tape, close to Burnage train station, after the incident. Police said officers were called to the scene at around 1.30am this morning.‌The man was left seriously hurt after being stabbed in his car and a female passenger was uninjured.
