Investigation launched after man found dead at Palmerston North property

An investigation is underway after a man was found dead following a nearby police chase in Palmerston North on Monday.Acting Manawatū Area Commander Inspector Phil Ward said at 11.20am on Monday, police saw a person with a warrant to arrest travelling in a vehicle on Highbury's Wilson Crescent.When the person saw police, the vehicle pulled into a driveway and two people fled on foot, Ward said.Police chased the person and they were taken into custody nearby.Ward said a man, who had not been chased by police, was found unresponsive at a neighbouring property."Immediate first aid was provided by Police, including CPR, and other emergency services attended the scene.
