Investigation launched after disposable BBQ found at scene of huge Macclesfield Forest fire

Firefighters received 61 calls about the fire15:59, 27 Jul 2026An investigation has been launched after a disposable BBQ was found at the site where a massive fire erupted at at Macclesfield Forest. Emergency services rushed to the beauty spots following reports of the blaze at around 16:10pm on Tuesday (July 21).‌After the blaze was placed under control, Cheshire Police surveyed the area and found evidence of recent disposable BBQ believed to be the cause of the fire.
