Inside 'crucial' food pantry opposite football stadium feeding 50 families every Tuesday

"The meal is the start point not the destination"15:44, 21 Jul 2026Good Shepherd, Wolverhampton A West Midlands charity is tackling homelessness and poverty - one meal at a time.‌Good Shepherd, which sits opposite the Molineux in Wolverhampton, provides a range of services focusing on providing "quality and support" to those who need it most, which includes a weekly food pantry.‌Every Tuesday, the centre welcomes around 50 families on average from across the city to the food pantry to pick up any essential items they might need for the week.‌READ MORE: Andy Burnham automatic £200 payments for state pensioners born before 1960The organisation takes six week referrals for families in need from institutions such as schools, and other partners in the city and social workers, which are reviewed
