‘If you can pay, you get health care. If you can’t pay, you wait’: Local MP criticizes Smith’s health-care bill

Albertans can now pay out of pocket or through private insurance for preventative diagnostic testing and do so without a doctor's referral. It's part of evolving health system changes that include legislation allowing doctors to work in both the public system and private for-profit clinics.
