As Wirral Council is set to spend £2m on improvements to the Victorian park, to boost its reputation as a visitor attraction, we asked people what changes they would like to see.‌Birkenhead Park, which opened in 1847 and was declared a Grade 1 listed landscape in 1995 has also recently been named as one of 22 UK locations which are part of a new UNESCO Industrial Heritage Trail.
