Whether it was celebrating the end of exams, watching a big match with friends, or simply enjoying a pint on a sunny day in its packed beer garden, the Smithdown Road pub has become part of thousands of people's university memories.‌Now approaching its 150th birthday, The Brookhouse remains one of the city's best-known student venues. But behind the bustling beer garden and 16 television screens lies a building steeped in history, dating back to 1878, whose name was revived by popular demand.‌General manager Steve Mann, 55, from Norris Green, has spent almost three decades in the pub industry and has been at th
