‘Hyperscale’ data centers get put on pause in New York in a historic move

New York has made history as the first state to issue a moratorium on data centers.  On Tuesday, Governor Kathy Hochul is set to sign an executive order that would halt construction permits for hyperscale data centers, multiple media outlets reported.
