Hyderabad SHE Teams nabs 678 for harassing women during Bonalu festivities

Hyderabad City SHE Teams caught 678 people for allegedly harassing women and engaging in other forms of misconduct during the Bonalu festivities this year. Teams were deployed at temples, procession routes, bus stops, Metro stations, marketplaces and other crowded locations during the festival. Personnel carried out surveillance in plain clothes, monitored vulnerable locations and intervened when incidents of harassment were detected. During the Bonalu bandobust, SHE Teams received 122 complaints under various categories. Police said 678 people involved in harassment, eve-teasing, stalking, inappropriate behaviour and other acts of misconduct against women were caught red-handed.
