Hurricane Lala lashes Hawaii's Big Island with heavy rain, strong winds

Hurricane Lala is expected to gradually weaken after the eye of the storm passed the southern tip of Hawaii's Big Island without making landfall, but heavy rainfall could produce flooding and mudslides as tens of thousands of homes are without power.
