Hunt for Ford Mondeo driver after car crashes into police van in Bootle

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Southport Road, between Burnie Avenue and Wolfenden Avenue at around 5.30pm.‌Photographs taken by a witness at the scene showed one car badly damaged, positioned sideways across the road, with its front bumper and bonnet smashed.
