Hunger recedes in 2025, but goal of eradication by 2030 remains out of reach

With 7.8% of the world's population undernourished, the few positive trends are not enough to bring down persistently high levels of hunger and food insecurity, especially in Africa. Meanwhile, obesity continues to climb, affecting more than 16% of adults.
