Hundreds of balaclava-clad men bring Dover to a standstill for ‘stop the boats’ protest

They marched through the town chanting ‘whose streets? Our streets!’ and ‘stop the boats’ while being followed by dozens of police officers. The government condemned their behaviour and the disruption caused by the demonstration. The Port of Dover reported ‘all routes’ in and out had been blocked, with traffic queuing for four miles. In a post on social media, activist Tommy Robinson suggested Saturday’s protests in Dover were part of a co-ordinated plan.
