Huge stash of drugs and cannisters found buried underground at Creamfields festival site

NewsGreater Manchester NewsCreamfieldsAnd police say they 'fully expect' to find more14:32, 24 Aug 2026A huge stash of drugs and more than 200 cannisters of nitrous oxide have been found buried underground and hidden at the site of the Creamfields dance music festival.‌Police described the haul recovered as a 'sizeable quantity' and said it included 'large bags' containing ecstasy, MDMA and ketamine tablets.‌A total of 204 cannisters of nitrous oxide were also seized.‌Click here to get the biggest stories straight to your inbox in our Daily NewsletterPolice said specialist officers were involved in pre-event searches and digs at the site on the Daresbury estate in Cheshire.Creamfields will run over the bank holiday weekend. Up to 80,000 music fans are expected to attend.‌Police in Cheshire
