Huge earthquake hits Japan as tsunami warning issued

The Japanese government has issued emergency ‌warnings for several areas in the Kyushu region, including Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Fukuoka, Saga, ‌Oita, and Miyazaki.‌The earthquake struck the Kumamoto Prefecture, and was registered at shindo seven, which is the maximum level on the Japanese seismic intensity scale.‌The Japanese weather agency also issued an alert for the Ariake and Yatsushiro seas.
