Huge band take over Bootle and perform Liverpool anthem
A huge band have taken over Bootle as Salt and Tar continues. The music event is taking place until Monday, August 17, with The Waterboys headlining tonight (August 14). Despite the band originating from London, led by Scottish musician and songwriter Mike Scott, they have a special connection to the city. The ECHO reported how the band's huge hit, The Whole of the Moon, was recorded in Liverpool's Amazon Studios and has become a favourite at Merseyside parties. The band are also known for hits such as Fisherman's Blues and This Is the Sea. Salt and Tar has gone 'on tour' travelling down the canal to its neighbours at the Lock and Quay's evening site, while works continue to expand its home site.
