Portugal’s online gambling market has moved from a side channel into a regulated digital business with serious numbers attached. The Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos, or SRIJ, said online gaming and betting revenue rose 13.7% year on year in the first quarter of 2026, according to its June 2026 activity update. That growth puts more pressure on operators to launch products that work across phones, payments, odds, casino games and player checks.
