Honeybee diet change boosts pesticide survival from below 50% to 90%
New research suggests honey bees can better survive pesticide exposure. Bees fed polyunsaturated fats showed a 90% survival rate. This dietary fat type also supported nerve function and energy balance. The findings indicate nutrition can strengthen bee resilience against agricultural stressors. This knowledge could inform bee diets and pollinator habitat planning.
