Homeowner stunned after finding mystery letter hidden behind wall for 71 years during renovation

Brendon Swallow has lived in his property for 13 years, but only stumbled across the time capsule last week whilst renovating.‌Brendon from Welton, East Yorkshire, spotted a dusty bundle of paper after pulling out an old bookshelf in his attic. The mysterious letter was wrapped in an old newspaper and addressed simply to “the finder”.‌It had been written and signed by electrician Gordon Hopper on March 1, 1955.
