The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board has imposed a fine of ₹15,000 on Aisha Rao store, owned by Swarup Kumar Reddy, for allegedly releasing wastewater onto a road and blocking the drainage system at Road No. 10, Venkateswara Colony, Banjara Hills. The incident, a press release stated, caused severe inconvenience to residents after the drainage network remained clogged for nearly a day.According to the officials, the company had engaged a private agency to clean its sewage sump. Instead of disposing of the wastewater properly, the agency reportedly discharged it directly onto the road.
