High-level panel constituted to modernise polytechnic education in Telangana
The State government on Monday issued orders constituting a high-level committee to modernise polytechnic education in the State and protect student interests.The committee will be headed by Adviser (Public Affairs) K. Keshava Rao and will comprise five other members: MLC M. Kodandaram, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights former chairperson Shanta Sinha, Special Chief Secretary (Energy Department) Navin Mittal, Secretary of SHAKTI Department Hari Chandana Dasari and Commissioner of Technical Education A. Devasena.As per the order, the committee will conduct extensive consultations with all stakeholders, examine the issues at hand and make specific recommendations. The exercise has to be completed within 30 days, after which the government will take suitable action.The order
