Heavy rain triggers waterlogging, cripples traffic across Hyderabad during peak hours on July 28

Heavy rains lashed several parts of Hyderabad on Tuesday (July 28) evening, triggering waterlogging and severe traffic congestion across the city during peak commuting hours. A bright and sunny day gave way to dark clouds around 5 p.m., with widespread showers disrupting traffic movement on major roads and junctions.The IT corridor witnessed some of the worst traffic snarls, with long queues of vehicles stretching across the stretch between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Heavy traffic was reported near IKEA, Madhapur, Gachibowli and Khajaguda as waterlogging slowed the movement of vehicles, turning the area into a sea of red tail lights.
