HC to hear pleas challenging Speaker decision dismissing disqualification petitions
The arguments will continue in Telangana High Court in the batch of writ petitions challenging the decision of Assembly Speaker, who dismissed the petitions filed by the BRS and BJP seeking disqualification of nine MLAs contending that they joined ruling Congress having been elected as BRS candidates.The bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin, which on Wednesday heard the contentions of the counsels, adjourned the hearing to Thursday. On Wednesday, senior counsel Vivek Reddy appearing in the plea filed by BJP MLA A. Maheshwar Reddy questioning the decision of the Speaker in dismissing the petition asking for disqualification of Danam Nagender, Khairatabad MLA, presented the arguments.The advocate contended that the Speaker claimed that the decision was taken
