HC to hear plea over IPS trainee potency test

Justice J. Srinivas Rao of the Telangana High Court on Monday directed the police investigating the criminal case of sexual harassment registered against IPS trainee Uday Krishna Reddy not to press for impotency test of the latter.The judge, hearing the criminal petition filed by the IPS trainee, adjourned the matter to Tuesday. Uday Krishna Reddy filed the plea opposing the potency test in a case of sexually harassing a female IPS trainee at the national police academy here. On August 17, a local court passed an order permitting the investigating officer to conduct a potency test for the IPS trainee as part of the probe into the allegations against him.He filed the criminal plea seeking a direction to set aside the local court order.
