HC orders NRI to appear with minor children in contempt filed by wife

Observing that ‘Parental Alienation Syndrome’ has deleterious effects on the psychology of a child, the Telangana High Court directed an NRI to be present before it on August 12 while hearing a contempt of case filed by his wife. The petitioner, Shalini Boyamotla, filed the contempt case against her husband Bharat Kumar Pogula stating that the latter was wilfully disobeying the HC order to allow her to speak with her two minor daughters (currently in the USA and in the custody of her husband) through video phone calls. The bench of Justices Moushumi Bhattacharya and Gadi Praveen Kumar passing the orders in the contempt case issued Form-I notices to Bharat Kumar instructing him to be present in the court along with their two minor daughters.
