Habagat to bring rains in PH; Maymay weakens into LPA — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Heavy rainfall is forecast to persist over parts of the country on Friday, due to the enhanced southwest monsoon, or habagat, as former tropical depression Maymay weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA), the state weather bureau reported. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Obet Badrina said during
