GWL resumes Kpong production after pipeline repairs, consumers to access water in phases

Ghana Water Ltd (GWL) has resumed water production at the Kpong Treatment Plant following the successful replacement of weak sections of the 21-inch and 42-inch Kpong-Tema transmission pipelines. The maintenance exercise began on Thursday, August 6, 2026, as part of efforts to address weaknesses in the ageing transmission infrastructure serving parts of the Greater Accra and Eastern Regions.
