Guyana agrees to receive migrants deported from the United States

The South American country has agreed to receive a limited number of migrants who do not have a criminal record. Since US President Donald Trump's return to the White House in 2026, his office has ramped up a policy of deporting immigrants to 'third countries' other than their own and with which they have no connection.
