Gunmen attack businessman’s car on Chattogram-Rangamati highway

Assailants opened fire on a moving car on the Chattogram-Rangamati highway in Hathazari upazila of Chattogram early Wednesday.The incident occurred around 12:15am in the Charabattala area of Mekhal union. The car was being driven by Raozan businessman SM Shahidullah Rony, who is also the editor of the Dainik Priyo Shomoy.He was returning home from Chattogram city when two men on a motorcycle blocked his car, threw a brick at it and fired three shots, Rony told reporters.The bullets struck the rear side of the vehicle before the attackers fled.
