July 08, 2026 9:17 AM ET A small firearms manufacturer in Missouri declared in a press release that it would only sell civilian-legal products to law enforcement agencies. CMMG made the announcement on June 30, a day before a ban on modern semiautomatic firearms was slated to take effect in Virginia had it not been blocked by courts. The company cited the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in its statement.
