Guelaguetza, Oaxaca’s world renowned ethnic festival, gets underway

The colorful opening show focused on the traditions and music of Oaxaca’s 16 Indigenous peoples and Afro-Mexican communities, to be followed by fairs, parades, gastronomic presentations and artisanal exhibitions statewide.
