Residents have reported seeing huge plumes of smoke in Greenfield today (Sunday, August 16).Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said the fire has started at an industrial premises near to the Tesco supermarket in the village. It's expected that firefighters will remain at the scene for much of today as the response continues.The MEN understands that 45 homes have been evacuated as a precaution, as a result of the fire. These are on neighbouring streets Knoll Close and Wellington Road.A spo
