Govt suspends Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar
The State government has suspended IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar, who has been arrested and is facing an inquiry by the CID in connection with alleged irregularities in conducting of examinations by the Karnataka Public Service Commission for filling up veterinary officers’ posts.Mr. Gangwar served as Controller of Examination in the KPSC from February 2024 to March 2026 before being appointed as Director, MSME. Mr. Gangwar, who is the first accused to be arrested in the case, is presently in the custody of CID that is probing the case.Meanwhile, the CID is likely to summon suspended KPSC Chairman Shivashakarappa S. Sahukar for the second time in connection with the alleged KPSC recruitment scam.Mr. Sahukar has approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail, citing apprehension
