Gotham FC topples Current to extend first-place lead in standings

Gotham FC overcame a tie for the fastest goal in NWSL history Friday night by receiving goals from Midge Purce and a landmark tally by Sam Kerr to give the hosts a 2-1 NWSL victory over the Kansas City Current Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, N.J.
